QUESTIONS
WE GET ASKED.
Who can open an account, how crypto payment works, what we can and can't answer, and how a COA gets into your hands. Straight answers, no small print.
Accounts & access / 01
Who can buy, and why the catalog is behind a login.
Our materials are research reagents, so we keep the storefront restricted to people who confirm they belong in a lab.
Why do I need an account to see the catalog?
Because these are research-use-only materials, we don't advertise prices and stock to the open internet. Signing up confirms two things up front — that you're 18 or older, and that you're a qualified researcher — and then the catalog opens up.
What do I need to sign up?
An email address and a password, or a Google account. During signup you tick two boxes: age 18 or older, and a statement that you're a qualified researcher buying for laboratory work. That attestation is saved to your account.
I signed up but the catalog still won't open. What now?
Email signups need the confirmation link clicked before the account goes live — check your inbox and spam folder. Once you're signed in, the catalog should load. If it still won't, text us and we'll sort it out.
Do you sell to anyone who asks?
No. Accounts require the age and researcher attestation, and we reserve the right to decline an order. If something about an order doesn't sit right, we'll tell you rather than ship it.
Can I change my address or password later?
Password resets work through the standard 'forgot password' flow on the sign-in page. For an address change on an order that's already placed, text us the order number and the new address.
Payment / 02
Crypto only, on purpose.
We don't run card processing. That's a deliberate choice that keeps our prices down, and we're glad to walk anyone through it.
Why no credit card or PayPal payments?
Card processing brings chargebacks and fees that get baked into every price. We pass that saving straight into the per-vial number instead. Crypto settles clean and final, so we can keep prices where they are.
Which cryptos do you take?
USDC and USDT on Solana or Ethereum, PYUSD on Solana, plus plain SOL, ETH, and Bitcoin. USDC and USDT need the network picked deliberately — Solana and Ethereum addresses aren't interchangeable, and sending on the wrong one can lose the funds.
Is there a fee?
Bitcoin carries a 3% fee because of network congestion and price movement. Everything else — USDC, USDT, PYUSD, SOL, ETH — goes through at no markup.
What's the 50/50 first-order option?
On your first order, if the total is $600 or less, you can tick the 50/50 box and pay half now, half once the order reaches you. It's only available on crypto orders, only the first time, and the order ships after the first payment clears.
I don't want to pay with crypto. Any other way?
Yes — choose 'Billing will contact me' at checkout. We take the order with no fee, our billing department reaches out to arrange payment, and the order ships once it's paid.
I've never bought crypto before. Will you help?
Happily. There's a written guide for PayPal, Cash App, and Robinhood on the crypto help page, and a 'Need help with crypto?' button at checkout. Text us and we'll talk you through it step by step — no question is too basic.
Do you take Cash App or Venmo?
Not anymore. Those are gone from checkout. If you'd rather not send crypto yourself, use the billing option and we'll handle payment with you directly.
Do promo codes work on everything?
A code comes off the product subtotal. Shipping and any payment fee are then worked out on the discounted amount, so a code can push an order under a free-shipping threshold and add shipping back on.
Shipping / 03
Rates, timing, and tracking.
Two speeds at checkout, both free once an order clears a threshold.
What does shipping cost?
Standard is $6 and free on orders over $100. Expedited is $15 and free on orders over $300. Both are calculated on the discounted subtotal if you used a promo code.
When does my order ship?
Once payment is confirmed — that's the network for crypto, or once billing has your payment. You'll get the tracking details as soon as the label is bought.
How do I check on an order?
Your order page shows the status, and the order number text is the fastest way to reach us about it. Text the number and we'll tell you exactly where it stands.
Do you ship outside the US?
We ship within the United States right now. If you're elsewhere and want to ask anyway, text us — but don't order expecting an international label.
Documentation / 04
COAs, refunds, and product photos.
Every batch we sell has a Certificate of Analysis. Here's how you get yours and why we don't post them.
Does every product have a COA?
Yes. Anything listed for sale is backed by a Certificate of Analysis for that specific batch, run through third-party laboratory testing.
How do I get the COA for my lot?
After purchase, text us your order details and we send the COA for your exact lot. It goes to you privately rather than onto a public page.
What if I don't like the results?
You get a full refund. Read the paperwork first, then decide — your money follows your judgment, no argument required.
Why aren't your COAs on your own letterhead?
We're a young brand at low volume, and we keep prices competitive by sourcing through established third-party suppliers. So many COAs carry the supplier's or lab's name rather than Bigfoot Peps branding. As volume grows, our own branded documentation comes with it. The test data travels with the lot either way.
Why not just post every COA publicly?
Because published documents get scraped and reused by copycat sellers to make claims about material they're not actually shipping. Sending COAs privately to the person who bought the lot keeps the paperwork tied to real material.
Why do the product photos look generic?
Where we don't have photography of the exact vial in stock, we show a generic image rather than a photo that doesn't match. What ships is what the listing says — compound, size, and lot documented.
What does 'sold out' mean on a listing?
Exactly what it says — zero on the shelf for that item. Stock counts down as orders come in, so a listing can flip to sold out between visits. Text us about a restock and we'll tell you where it stands.
Research use only / 05
What 'research use only' actually commits us to.
It's a real scope limit on everything we say and sell, not a line we add for cover.
What does 'research use only' mean here?
Material is supplied as a laboratory reagent for bench use by qualified researchers. It is not for human or veterinary use — no dosing, no administration guidance, no benefit or results claims. That framing holds on every page of this site.
Can you tell me how to use something?
We can talk about synthesis, purity, documentation, storage, and handling as laboratory practice. We won't provide human dosing or administration guidance, and we won't discuss treating a condition — that's not a policy dodge, it's the scope we sell under.
Can I learn more before ordering?
The Peptide 101 page explains what peptides are and how they're synthesized, amino acid by amino acid, plus how to read a COA. The COA policy page covers how documentation works here.
How do I hear about promotions?
There's a promotion alerts signup at the bottom of the home page and the catalog. Drop your email in and you'll hear from us when something's running.
